One
of the most disgusting and sinful movies ever produced is "Dirty Dancing."
Dirty Dancing (1987) starred Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, and
Jerry Orbach. The great evangelist,
Billy Sunday,
preached uncompromisingly against dancing--would to God that more preachers
had the guts to do so today. The Apostle Paul cautions us in 1st
Corinthians 7:1 concerning the opposite sex. No man should ever touch
a woman to whom he is not married. Carefully notice that this
Scripture also applies to the women. If it's NOT good for a man
to touch a woman to whom he is not married, then it is equally not good for
a woman to allow a man to touch her (unless it's her husband). In
night clubs all across America, dancing is a prelude to fornication,
homosexuality, and abortion. People place their hands all over each
other, violating God's warnings against lust, lasciviousness, and unholy
thoughts. People have become so hardened nowadays that morality is a
joke to them (clearly evidenced by the godless late night shows on
hellivision). The Word of God states that "Fools
make a mock at sin..." (Proverb 14:9).
Dancing
is just as sinful at high school proms, ballrooms, town gatherings, etc.
Dancing and immodest dress are synonymous. Dancing leads to
lasciviousness (i.e., immoral sexual desire). The ONLY place where
dancing is acceptable is between a husband and wife in the privacy of their
own home, and without observation by others. America has deteriorated
into a sexually perverted nation, where sensual and suggestive dancing is
commonly accepted. As a result, millions of unwanted babies continue
to be murdered every year through abortion. This is a great evil in
America! Think about it ... the average person today can't help but
laugh at the thought that dancing is a sin; yet millions of unplanned
pregnancies continue to be terminated through murderous abortions. Is
it surprising that a nation who see no harm in murdering children
would also see no harm in premarital sex, petting, dancing, pornography, and
filthy conversation? Not at all. There is a DIRECT LINK between
a LACK OF moral standards, teaching, and living, and the abortion rate.
All dancing is of the Devil, whether it be the Tango, the Foxtrot, the Rumba, the Swing, etc--because dancing is inherently a fleshly practice. Some dancing schools even advertise "Touch Dancing." Women who dance, immodestly expose their bodies, luring lustful men to sinfully gaze upon them. According to Jesus' Words in Matthew 5:28, lust is sinful ... "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." Dancing has always been dirty and sinful. It was the sin of dancing that swayed Herod to execute John the Baptist. Mark 6:22 states, "And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee." It was the dancing of Herodias' daughter that stirred lusts in Herod, and led him into further sin. Dancing leads people further into sin. I guarantee you that most people who dance are also pro-choice, because both practices are immoral.
In 2nd Samuel 6:14 we are told that king David "danced" before the Lord. It is important to note that David was not sensually dancing in the sense that many people do today. David was simply rejoicing before the Lord with jumping and shouting. Jesus NEVER danced. None of the Apostles ever danced. Dancing is not taught in the Word of God, and is a pagan practice. Anywhere sin is found in this world, you will likely find dancing. Dancing is commonly associated with nightclubs, prostitution, gambling, drunkenness, immorality, immodest dress, and other forms of godlessness. Dancing is a carnal and fleshly practice that glorifies the body, and generates sexual lust. Even bally dancing is sinful, because the women dance in their underwear, giving explicit views of their body. Bally Dancing is sexually arousing and; therefore, extremely sinful. Tragically, most cheerleaders are dressed sinfully and often perform sexually suggestive dances while cheerleading. Although seemingly harmless to most people, it is such indecent practices as immodest cheerleading that corrupts societies' morals and leads to more sexual crimes. Cheerleading can be done properly; but, a woman's legs should never leave the ground, let alone wearing miniskirts. All miniskirts are sinful, and should NEVER be worn by any Christian woman. It hypocritical and clear evidence that Catholicism is of the Devil, that their school girls are dressed in miniskirts (i.e., official uniform). It is evil. You've got priests who aren't allowed to be married (which is totally unbiblical), and then those same priests are surrounded by girls in miniskirts. No wonder there are so many perverts in the Catholic Church!
Today's sicko society laughs and scorns the Biblical teaching of chastity, standards, virtue, and morality. In a recent movie--Happy Feet (which is clearly aimed towards children)--dancing is greatly promoted. What's very disturbing in the film is that the older penguins who are AGAINST Happy Feet's dancing are portrayed as old, harsh, unreasonable, mean, and foolish. This is brainwashing! Little children who watch this movie are subconsciously taught that dancing is acceptable, and anyone who says it's not is out of touch with reality. The truth is that dancing DOES corrupt society and should be shunned by every born-again believer in Christ. The Happy Feet movie also promotes whoremongering. At one point in the movie the leader of the penguins, Lovelace, says that he wants to indulge in romantic pleasures with his eight female penguin companions. He then asks, "Which one of you is first?" This is the godless immoral lifestyle that many rock-n-roll performers are living today. Rock-n-roll is a religion of sexual immorality! Throughout the Happy Feet movie, romance is stressed, and penguins are paired up for mating; but no mention of marriage is ever made in the movie. Clearly children are being introduced to a demonic lifestyle of sexual fornication, whoremongering, dancing, and rebellion against God.
The bottom line is that dancing is a worldly entertainment, a heathen practice. Dancing is a very physical activity, which basically gives men a dirty show to watch, and in many cases, touch. No normal man can watch a women jumping around in tights without getting aroused. As Christians, we must rise above the filth and immorality of this sinful world. I've known people who were actively involved in some sort of dancing. In every case, they were worldly--going to gambling casinos, homosexual-friendly, drinking beer, attending nightclubs, indulging in sexual sins, running from God. I've never met one soulwinner who was a dancer. I've never met a dedicated, Christ-honoring, sin-hating Christian who went dancing. The unsaved world loves dancing, because it is sexually suggestive and filthy. Tragically, Walt Disney and other godless companies are working relentlessly to make dancers out of all of America's children. It's sickening to see little children on TV bopping and strutting to rock-n-roll music. Dancing is lewd and deplorable, and encompasses a sinful spirit of selfish pride. Do you think the Lord Jesus approves of such worldliness?
Titus 2:5 plainly states that women are "to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." This is the exact opposite of what children are being taught today. Just as with homosexuality, dancing goes against everything which the Word of God teaches. Don't be fooled into thinking that dancing is just innocent fun, there is an immoral mindset that goes with dancing.
