I recently wrote a short article for our church newsletter entitled, "Don't be DECEIVED by false prophets". I'd like to share it with you now although I'm confident that this topic will come up again (in an expanded form) in the Deception series. Before getting to the article, here's an aside...Sometimes my sweet friends want to know how (or what) I am doing. At this season, I am very busy with various things in my house and church. I'm not online much answering emails so please forgive the delayed responses. Because I have other work to do right now, the Lord has given me a reprieve from writing on the Deception series (which is one of my burdens) but the ideas and concepts for the series are still trickling in as I pray, read the word, and consider the ways of the two kingdoms. I have manilla envelopes full of notes, etc. for the series as well as some volumes I'd like to peruse. I have learned many things from the Deception series and one of them is that you have to tarry/wait on the Lord. These emails have NOT come easy. I have to keep waiting even after I spend a lot of time on them. It may take weeks, months or even years of waiting before the full manifestation of what God has told you, but you have to be patient and WAIT under His Almighty hand knowing that He shall bring it to pass. It's like it was with the children of Israel in the wilderness. He will let you WAIT in trying conditions in order to prove you, try you, and humble you, THAT HE MIGHT DO THEE GOOD AT THY LATTER END. Deuteronomy 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to HUMBLE thee, and to PROVE thee, TO KNOW what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might MAKE THEE KNOW that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. 8:16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, TO DO THEE GOOD AT THY LATTER END; Some of the written notes that I have for this Deception series go back at least six years (though I didn't know at the time they'd be used for a series called Deception) and today I STILL have to tarry some more. God gives me an idea (I do not know how He is able to put it within my thick skull I just know that He is ALMIGHTY God), I write down what I can and then I have to tarry until **HE** brings the divine heat/energy/kick to get it to where it is supposed to be. God does it all and you have to WAIT for Him to do it. That way man gets no credit--and I like that. Let THE LORD be exalted and let MAN be abased--the Spirit testifieth that this is good to understand. God is the one that is pure and true and right. Meanwhile, we were by nature the children of wrath, all WRONG and all WEAK, not almighty like God. The highest level to which man can attain is to agree with God and disagree with his SELF. Abase yourSELF and your lusts because that is reality--we are low down. At the same time EXALT God because that is also reality--He is the ALMIGHTY with ALMIGHTY power and abilities. This is good, sound doctrine because it is the truth. When we really let this sink down into our spirit, we are getting somewhere. And then when we've done all that King Jesus has commanded us to do, let us say, "We are UNPROFITABLE servants, we have done that which was our duty to do." (Luke 17:10) Praise God for the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. It is ONLY because of Jesus that God the Father accepts us. Let us praise His name FOREVER! Glory be to God for sending His Son that we might get back to Him. Praise the name of Jesus. Many professed Christians watch the various preachers on hell-i-vision but, unlike the Bereans, they have not stopped to check out their doctrine. Most church people are not discerning and therefore they are DECEIVED. The falling away is here. Read about the likes of Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, John Hagee, Benny Hinn, Fred Price, Robert Tilton, TD Jakes, Jack Van Impe, Oral Roberts, Paul and Jan Crouch (principals of TBN), Rodney Howard-Browne, Kathryn Kuhlman, and many more. These false teachers wrest and twist the word to their own destruction and then get you to buy this false teaching in books, videos, tapes, seminars, etc. These false prophets ride in limosines, live in palaces and say, "God wants this for you". But King Jesus said, "Sell all that ye have," and "Beware of covetousness for a man's life consisteth NOT in the things he posseseth" and "The body is more than meat and the life is more raiment". He said, "How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!". King Jesus said that most rich men go to hell, but these preachers say that the gospel makes you rich. That's how you know they are of the devil. They preach riches and their followers die trying to get rich. King Jesus also said, "Where a man's treasure is, there will his heart be also," and "Lay up treasure IN HEAVEN where moth and dust doth not corrupt neither thieves break through and steal". These false prophets fulfil I Timothy 6:3-10, They are "destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: FROM SUCH WITHDRAW THYSELF" (I Ti 6:5). They not only preach health and wealth, they preach MANY other false doctrines by which they overthrow the faith of many and subvert WHOLE HOUSES. The truth of the word busts up every lie and makes people free and delivered. Nobody wants to believe that they are deceived but King Jesus said that MANY would be DECEIVED. He also said that there would be MANY false prophets. Matthew 24:11 ...MANY FALSE PROPHETS shall rise, and shall DECEIVE MANY. 1 John 4:1 warns, "Beloved, BELIEVE NOT EVERY SPIRIT, but try [start testing people by the word] the spirits whether they are of God: because MANY FALSE PROPHETS are gone out into the world." Do you personally believe the Bible testimony on false prophets? Many would say, "Yes, I do." Okay, then where are some of the major false prophets found, what are their names, and what are they teaching? You may have some in your church. If you watch hellivision you should know plenty of them--from soap opera sorcerers that preach the devil doctrine of whoredom, lying, adultery, etc. to the liars/journalists on 60 minutes. All false prophets are not in churches. The devil has people all over the world. Have you personally identified any false prophets or do you receive any spirit as long as it doesn't offend your sensibilities? O beloved, let this doctrine sink down into your ears that you may stand and not fall. Have you ever heard someone say, "I don't claim that," or conversely, "I claim that"? That's not in the Bible. Where did they get that from? False prophets in church. That positive thinking and "claiming" comes from the New Age and witchcraft. God is not our genie to provide all the lusts of our flesh. This is just one of many, many examples of how this false doctrine is creeping in churches all over the world. "I'm not claiming this sickness," that is what the metaphysical cult Christian Science does. They deny all sickness and say it is an illusion. We say many things because we've heard somebody else say them. It is high time to awake out of sleep. When the blind lead the blind BOTH shall fall into the ditch. Jesus is coming back and you don't want to be found in the Matt 7:21-23 crowd. There many other scriptures that give us warnings about this end times church apostasy/falling away, but let us close with these solemn facts, ...there SHALL be false teachers among you, who privily [they're sneaky] shall bring in damnable heresies (2 Pet 2:1) ...For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly [their own lusty appetites]; AND BY GOOD WORDS AND FAIR SPEECHES [they trick you by their oratory skills and speeches that they call sermons. They throw in a fancy hairdo, expensive suits, and stage presence to complete the act.] DECEIVE the hearts of the SIMPLE [simple people do not discern, for they are ignorant of God's word--even if they read it--they don't test anything. Good or bad is based on their likes and dislikes instead of the word.] (Romans 16:18). ******ANOTHER ARTICLE IN THE SAME NEWSLETTER****** Video Review Some of the antics of the charismatic/pentecostal movement are investigated in, The Signs and Wonders Movement Exposed from www.cuttingedge.org. This video looks at the side show carnival called the charismatic movement. Make no mistake, the three ring circus is not limited to the charismatics. All kinds of churches are feeding the flesh. Women rule over them and children are their oppressors. The institutional church is out of control. At the end of the first tape [in this two tape set], they include a clip of Benny Hinn giving a "bong" (drug paraphernalia) to one of his staff members. The false "profits" are living it up off of their followers. They teach that gain is godliness. Paul said to withdraw ourselves from people like this, yet many heap to themselves these teachers having itching ears. The only problem with this two tape set is that it primarily exposes the pretend wonders of the charismatic movement and does not investigate (or acknowledge) the truly occult manifestations found in some of these meetings. ******* God bless you my friends and God speed as you run on in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He is not strong but he prepares his meat in the summer so he'll have something in the winter to tide him over. But even greater than this, read your King James Bible and let that doctrine sink down into your spirit. When the beast comes you won't be going to the bookstore to purchase a KJB. Many people have written me telling me they couldn't find it in the Christian bookstore. They have to special order it. While we have it good in this country, let us study the book. Daniel says of these last times that none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
