These Deception emails have stirred up a lot of spirits. Some people have felt the upward pull--now all they have to do is tarry in the word AND obedience and let the Lord take them up higher. Others have gotten stirred up over their pet deception and write defending it. Still others are just glad to have the word confirmed. These "Deception" emails are more than just a commentary on these last days. They are about DELIVERANCE FROM all deception and ENTRANCE INTO the strength of the Lord. May each one of us get what we need from these emails--including myself. [Note: I know that we're looking for quick tidbits in this microwave, information-laden generation but this email is not quick. It is lengthy. It takes more than one paragraph to lay down this information so that somebody can understand it. From time to time, some complain about the length of the emails. There is nothing that I can do about that. BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT IT IS LONGER FOR ME THAN IT IS FOR YOU. Labouring with these Deception emails has been a serious weariness on my flesh...but thank God, I don't owe the flesh anything. Glory be to Jesus. If these long emails get on your nerves, I understand. Perhaps you'll want to revisit them at a later time or maybe you'll print them out and read them in the tub, on the train, at lunch, etc.] ******SUMMARY***** The beast is not simply a secular dictator, he's also religious. He and the devil will be WORSHIPPED by every unsaved person--which includes church hypocrites. The devil has ALWAYS wanted to be worshipped, he even tried in vain to get King Jesus to worship him-- Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking him [King Jesus] up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 4:7 IF THOU THEREFORE WILT *WORSHIP* ME, all shall be thine. But the devil has a problem. NOBODY will worship him for who he is. Therefore, the devil has to DECEIVE people into worshipping him...deception is the vehicle that takes people to worship the devil and the beast, e.g.-- Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, WHICH **DECEIVETH** THE WHOLE WORLD: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 20:10 And THE DEVIL THAT **DECEIVED** THEM was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man **DECEIVE** YOU. 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall **DECEIVE** MANY. 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall **DECEIVE** MANY. 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, THEY SHALL **DECEIVE** THE VERY ELECT. Our chief deceiver is our own feelings/heart (Jeremiah 17:9). Next on the list is the devil. Satan is many things...a murderer, a thief, etc. But for now, we'll examine him as A LIAR AND THE FATHER OF IT. Why are we doing this? Because the lie is a chief means Satan uses to DECEIVE people. LIA'R, n. [from lie.] 1. A person who knowingly utters falsehood; one who declares to another as a fact what he knows to be not true, and WITH AN INTENTION TO **DECEIVE** him. The uttering of falsehood by mistake, and without an intention to deceive, does not constitute one a liar. *************THE LIE DEFINED******************* LIE, n. 1. A criminal falsehood; a falsehood uttered for the purpose of **DECEPTION**; an intentional violation of truth. It is WILLFUL **DECEIT** that makes a lie. A man may act a lie, as by pointing his finger in a wrong direction, when a traveler inquires of him his road. LIE, v.i. 1. To utter falsehood with an INTENTION TO **DECEIVE**. 2. To exhibit a false representation; to say or do that which **DECEIVES** another, when he has a right to know the truth, or when morality requires a just representation. The purpose of the devil's lies is to DECEIVE you. He wants you to (1) believe what is false AND (2) disbelieve what is true *************THE FATHER OF LIES************* In John 8:44 King Jesus made a striking pronouncement on the paternity of the unbelieving Jews-- "Ye are of your father THE DEVIL, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for HE IS A LIAR, AND THE FATHER OF IT." Jesus Christ is God Almighty manifested in the flesh. He is the Creator and He **KNOWS** the sum and substance of the devil. And He told us that the devil is not only a liar, HE IS THE FATHER OF IT. The devil originated the lie and introduced it into the world. "Father" denotes that the devil is THE top notch, preeminent liar. He embodies all that a lie is. He is the number-one-in-the-world liar. F'ATHER, n. HE WHO CREATES, INVENTS, MAKES OR COMPOSES ANY THING; THE AUTHOR, former or contriver; A FOUNDER, DIRECTOR OR INSTRUCTOR. Satan is called the father of lies; he INTRODUCED SIN, AND INSTIGATES MEN TO SIN. King Jesus also said that the devil does not have ONE bit of truth in him. Satan may mix a lie with something that looks and sounds plausible (he'll even quote the Bible) but ALL his ways and doctrines are lies designed to mislead man. ******"I ALREADY KNOW ALL OF THAT"****** "But I already know all that." Do you, really? Let's make inquiry...Do you ever communicate with people that are not saved? Most of us do. That being the case, ARE YOU LEERY OF WHAT THEY SAY OR DO YOU BELIEVE IT ALL AT FACE VALUE WITHOUT QUESTIONING IT? Do you think that the news always tells the truth? Do you think that all textbooks are accurate? Do you think that The History Channel gives you accurate historical information and its correct interpretation? If so, think again. John 8:44 declares that the devil and his children LIE. You need to put this doctrine to work in YOUR life. Don't unequivocally believe unregenerates. Let questions ARISE in your mind when they counsel you. "Is this really true? What does this really mean? Why are they telling me this? What does God's word say about this?" If Eve had asked these types of questions, she would not have been duped. The devil is the number one chief liar...AND KING JESUS SAID THAT HIS CHILDREN ARE JUST LIKE HIM. Be discriminating about where you get your information and what you will believe. Some people hear a five minute newsbite and then go around saying "Did you know...?" Prove ALL things; hold fast that which is good (I Thes 5:21). I personally seek information from annointed people. If I am going to study history, I want to read from a saved historian that loves the word. I feel the same way about science, etc. That's why I don't fool with hellivision. I'll make the extra effort to get sound information. I like to communicate with people that speak the same language that I do. *****LYING FROM THE BEGINNING***** The devil was in Eden. --God said, "In the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die." --The devil told Eve, "ye shall not surely die" --he mixed it with something that sounded good, "ye shall be as gods knowing both good and evil" --she believed him and --look at us now! All this waste, howling wilderness because somebody listened to, believed, and acted on ONE lie! With ONE lie (not ten billion lies, just one), the devil deceived a woman, tripped up man, and became the god of this world... and he is STILL lying TODAY. Don't think that he is not lying to YOU. The devil is STILL making false promises of life in disobedience--and men (including church people) dumbly believe him like a herd of oxen going to the slaughter. "One little white lie won't hurt". "TV and movie theatres are part of your Christian liberty". "Daydreaming about your officemate doesn't hurt anybody, at least you're not doing the real thing." HE IS STILL LYING. And just like with Eve, all who believe him will go down--including the antinomians who've hijacked the professed church with their wicked doctrines (more on them in a later email). *****THE DEVIL IS A DADDY***** "Father" has another definition-- "ONE WHO FEEDS AND SUPPORTS OR EXERCISES PATERNAL CARE OVER ANOTHER." All liars and unregenerates are the devil's spawn. And just like a father begets and supports his children, THE DEVIL WILL HELP YOU LIE AND DISHONOUR THE LORD. You may start out lying "out of convenience", but the devil will make you a BIG liar. You'll lie when you don't even have to. He'll help you be more reprobate. He'll feed you with temptations and devils just like I fed Chloe a ham and cheese sandwich today for lunch. You may start out a drunk, but he'll take you over the edge in your sin--you'll fall in the wine vat singing "How dry I am". If you are a fornicator, he'll put a spirit of promiscuity on you and you won't be able to stop whoredom--you'll get worse. Whatever your sin problem is, he will feed it and make it worse. You (and those around you) will be TORN UP by your incontinence--yet you'll say, "But I can't live without it". INCON'TINENCE, n. Want of restraint of the passions or appetites; free or uncontrolled indulgence of the passions or appetites. **************EVEN HIS MIRACLES LIE*************** The devil CAN do miracles-- Revelation 16:14 For THEY ARE THE **SPIRITS OF DEVILS**, WORKING **MIRACLES**, which go forth unto the kings of the earth AND OF THE WHOLE WORLD, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Some preachers think that Satan's tricks and witchcraft are not real. They think that they are just optical illusions. That is NOT what the Bible says. The magicians in Egypt were able, BY ENCHANTMENTS, TO DUPLICATE some of the wonders God wrought in Egypt by the hand of Aaron and Moses, e.g., changing a rod to a serpent (Exo. 7:9-10), the plague of frogs (Exo. 8:5-7), and turning the river to blood (Exo. 7:21-22). Of course, God broke down the magicians (Exo. 9:11), but the point is that all witches are not fake-Psychic-Hotline-con-artists. THERE IS a real, malignant, evil spirit world that manifests Satanic wonders. In these last days, LYING wonders WILL manifest in the sight of men -- 2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him ["that man of sin", "that Wicked"], whose coming is **after the working of Satan** with all POWER and SIGNS and **LYING** WONDERS, There will be wonders, BUT THEY WILL LIE. Oh, how they will deceive! Supernatural manifestations are going to come out of voodoo parlors and other occult gathering places into the open. Satanic power is going to break loose in THE SIGHT OF MEN-- Revelation 13:13 AND **HE [FALSE PROPHET] DOETH GREAT WONDERS**, SO THAT HE MAKETH FIRE COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN ON THE EARTH **IN THE SIGHT OF MEN**, WONDER, n., That emotion which is excited by novelty, or the presentation to the sight or mind, of something new, unusual, strange, great, extraordinary, or not well understood; something that ARRESTS THE ATTENTION by its novelty, grandeur or inexplicableness. 2. Cause of wonder; that which excites surprise; a strange thing; a prodigy. People (whether inside or outside of churches) love signs and wonders. And THE DEVIL is going to give them greater and greater wonders to deceive them into worshipping him...The people will run after miracles right into the arms of the devil...like a herd of buffalo over a cliff. The stampede has ALREADY begun but because this deception is by degrees, people don't perceive that they are in the midst of a catastrophe RIGHT NOW. What do WE need to understand about these signs, miracles and lying wonders? Unregenerate man walks by the seeing of his eyes. HE WILL BELIEVE WHAT HE SEES OR SENSES. Contrariwise, the regenerate man walks ONLY by faith in the word of God. That is why it is IMPOSSIBLE to deceive the elect with these miracles (or anything else)--we allow the word to OVERRIDE anything that we see or experience. THE WORD CANNOT BE DECEIVED and we ONLY believe the word, THAT is why we cannot be deceived. It's impossible--even though the signs and wonders will be very great-- Matthew 24:24 For THERE SHALL ARISE FALSE CHRISTS, AND FALSE PROPHETS, AND SHALL SHEW GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS; INSOMUCH THAT, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, THEY SHALL DECEIVE THE VERY ELECT. We are talking about miracles so fantastic that if you're not grounded in the word, you will believe them. These miracles will not scare people. They may seem very kind, loving and beautiful--like the reported Marian apparitions. But remember that the devil is transformed into an angel of light. He comes looking good--oftentimes in a suit or religious garb. The beast, the dragon (Satan), and the false prophet will appeal to sight and sense. Can you see why the charismatics, new agers, witches, and all unregenerates are in such trouble? They have "to see it to believe it". THEY DON'T ABIDE BY THE STRAITNESS OF THE WORD, THEREFORE THEY ARE OPEN TO ALL KINDS OF DECEPTIVE MIRACLES, LYING WONDERS AND SIGNS. Catholics are chasing down apparitions all over the world and will believe anything "supernatural"... I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SHOW ME, I AM GOING TO INTERPRET IT BASED ON THE WORD ALONE. I know that my feelings and senses can deceive me (Jeremiah 17:9), BUT THE WORD CANNOT BE DECEIVED. Oh, hallelujah. As long as I stay with the word I CANNOT be deceived. Let the word OVERRIDE all your senses, thoughts, words, actions, etc. [aside: we are supposed to be casting out devils in Jesus' name...but we don't believe they exist.] *****SEEKING A SIGN IS EVIL***** Charismatics, Catholics and others are constantly seeking signs and wonders. That is evil. This is what King Jesus has to say about it-- Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, AN EVIL AND ADULTEROUS GENERATION SEEKETH AFTER A SIGN; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: Evil and perverse people want proofs outside of the word of God. King Jesus said that they would get no sign but that of the prophet Jonas-- Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. In other words, JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD. That is the ONLY sign people are going to get from the Lord. Yet many of today's churches are implementing psychological techniques and "seeker friendly" gimmicks in order to get unregenerates saved. THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY THING IN THE UNIVERSE THAT WILL SAVE. USE THE LAW LAWFULLY AND BRING PEOPLE TO THE CROSS. For the most part, the visible church today operates without the Spirit. That's why they do the ridiculous things that they do and that is why they have no power. *************CONCLUSION********** The devil is a liar. The word of God is the TRUTH. A lie cannot stand up before the truth. The truth will burn up and bust up EVERY lie and expose EVERY false prophet. Therefore, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7) Stand firm in the word of God and you will put the devil on the run instead of him running you. If you want strength in the Lord, ask God to make you an anointed witness. Then start reading the word and obeying it. Read whole books. Read the whole Bible over and over again. Study it.
