A BRIEF ABOUT CENSORSHIP
Recently, RRN manager Paul Pilgrim has been accused of censorship. This is in response to a program we started airing that went suddenly sour. The guest on this particular program is in my opinion an agent of Satan, who began to offer up Blasphemies against Jesus Christ. I then turned off the program.
Does the accusation of censorship apply to this situation?
YES! and I will gladly admit to the charge in this case.
Further statements issued forth was that censorship is FACISM, and there was an obvious implication that I was also a fascist for doing such an unforgiveable act!
Was this a case of Fascism?
NO! absolutely not.
Let me explain how censorship can be bad, but also can be good, and is the responsibility of proper morality and Christianity to do so.
Fascism and censorship go hand in hand when we talk politics, and government, As fascism does not allow for dissenting opinions against the rulers in charge.
Freedom of speech is a myth, and a false belief system, because the God of Israel and of scripture does not give us the right of free speech. To say that the first amendment guarantee of freedom of speech of the U.S. constitution is a protection of a God given right is also false.
We are not free to say as we please - PERIOD!
We are not allowed to blaspheme God, and take the name of God (YHVH) in vain, and that is the FIRST of the ten commandments God gave to Moses to give to all of God's people.
When I find someone with a blasphemous or cursing spirit, I do not listen to them, and furthermore, I do not extend to them the liberty to do these things.
If I catch someone doing this on Remnant Radio Network, I will also turn them OFF, and not allow them the liberty to do that here either.
It is my responsibility and love toward God as a Christian, to extol the name of Jesus Christ whenever I can, and blasphemy does not fit into this agenda. I do not see how ANY professing Christian can possibly allow blasphemy to take place, and call this a right of free speech. Does a Christian who believes such a thing love God? I'll bet most of these phony Christians would be quick to defend the honor of a close loved one, such as a spouse, if someone started throwing foul name calling toward him or her, and would do most anything to get that name caller stopped. Should not that Christian love God even more?
I think you might be getting the point by now, but let me go further.
If we should have complete freedom of speech, then should we just allow all foul and despicable language to fill the radio and TV waves? Do you really want your 5 year old to be taught all foul language and things unseemly because it is freedom of speech?
Of course not, so we as a society perform censorship to radio and TV to make sure this does not happen, although admittedly this GOOD form of censorship is waning at an increasing rate, as society drifts further and further from the morality that God has given and commanded on his people.
How about slander and libel?
Are we free just to say anything about anybody, whether it be a truth or lie? Of course not.
The ninth commandment God gave to Moses was to NOT bear false witness against a neighbor.
In other words, we have not been given freedom of speech to lie against another person.
It is our Godly duty as true Christians to perform censorship when it applies to upholding morality and God's law. It is not an option for the Christian, it is mandatory.
Remnant Radio Network is dedicated to God, and his people that he has called to be a part of the last day remnant people.
How could we function any other way than to regularly exercise censorship, in this Godless and perverse generation and society?
My job as manager here at RRN is two fold:
1. Apply censorship to evil and to the lies and blasphemy of Satan.
2. To allow freedom of speech to God's remnant people, that they may talk about and minister to listeners, Godly precepts, scripture, and views as they relate to properly serving and honoring God, and extolling the name of Jesus Christ.
I hope this clears this up in the minds and hearts of all who read this as to the proper application of censorship, which has nothing to do with Fascism.
