The Lamsa bible - what to think

George M. Lamsa's translation from the Aramaic of the Peshitta.

I like the Lamsa bible because I find the word translations more accurate to the way I think they were meant to mean.

But there are many detractors that speak against this translation
George Lamsa is attacked by CRI, headed by Hank Hanegraaff. See:
CRI's lamsa page
There are other mainstream Judeo Christian persuasions who also denounce Lamsa's work.
Some call Lamsa's bible, a bible for white supremists and Jehovah Witnesses, however there is one source that calls Lamsa a liar and nullifies this work and is not in the Judeo-Christian camp. But they also have their own version to sell instead.Check this out!

The hardcover edition of this book is now out of print, and if you want one for yourself you will have to find one on the used book market.
It is still available in paperback version only.

More info will be added as I get it, perhaps this is a bogus bible, perhaps it is not. As for now I am still using it. Pilgrim
